Christmas in Milan

After more than 2 weeks in Milan over Christmas, we came back with 4 suitcases... delicatessen, wine, granny pasta machine, presents!

And an amazing afternoon spent at the Cenacolo Vinciano. I've been living in Milan for 26yrs and never been there! With mum and dad we booked a guided tour to the Cenacolo and the Bramante's church, stunning!
We learnt more about the history behind the location and how Leonardo made a turning point in the renaissance period. We sat in bliss for 15 min in front of the Last Supper; despite the damage, the painting vibes energy and emotions.

The church itself is interesting, there is a clear contrast between the Bramante's apse and the Solari's main part. Completely opposite styles: rich, abundant and opulent for Solari (on the right in the photo); clean, bare almost inchoate for Bramante (on the left).
