chocolate chip cookies

There is a vivid debate with MrM about who initially put together this recipe.
Right or wrong these cookies are so yummy you have to behave and have one at the time if you care about your waistline!

Ingredients for 10 cookies:
125g unsalted butter (room temperature)
125g soft brown sugar
250g plain white flour
1 egg (room temperature)
90g dark chocolate (chopped up)
1/2 tsp cream of tartar + 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda (it can be replaced by 1 tsp of baking powder)

Preparation:
Whisk together the melted butter with the sugar, then add in the order: egg, flour, cream of tartar and bicarbonate and chocolate comes last.
Cover the bowl with a cling film and place in the fridge for at least 1 night - I left my dough in the fridge for 24h.
Remove from the fridge and leave at room temperature for 2-3 hours. Stretch out the dough to 0.7 cm thick and then cut to shape.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180˚ for 15-20 minutes.
