We found this restaurant in the Guida Critica Golosa, the rating was the highest possible so we booked for dinner on our last night in Barolo.
Chef Massimo Camia replied personally to my email and we found this personal touch again when we visited. He welcomed us when we arrived and just before the dessert he came back to our table checking if everything went well.
It was Sunday night (in Italy very few people dine out on Sunday night) and he opened the restaurant just for us, it was extremely romantic!
Our table was overlooking the impressive Barolo vineyards on the dusk, couldn't be more perfect than this.
We went for the traditional tasting menu with a bottle of 2006 Barolo DOCG, Cannubi, E.Pira di Chiara Boschis. 8 courses from amuse bouche to fine patisserie, all outstanding in taste! Each dish was very well balanced, the flavours can be easily distinguished as only the best local fine ingredients can do. Presentation was elegant but simple. Impeccable service too!
We visited several top restaurants and Massimo's dinner has been our best ever so far!
No pictures taken, it was too perfect to ruin the moment and take out the iPhone...
